It is installed in minutes to the existing console.<br>NOTE: Unlike some other kits out there, this one includes instructions to adjust the console lid so that the lid still<br>closes and latches<br>with the cupholder installed.<br>Using a 1" x 6" velcro strip included with the cup holder, it attaches to the inside of the console. Once installed you will find that the thickness of the cup holder does not allow the console lid to latch properly, but this can be easily fixed.
